Freelance Legal Translator
Kalite Legal Translations, a leading provider of legal translation and linguistic services, continues its steady growth in the global market. As we expand our client portfolio across more than 50 countries, we are seeking highly skilled and experienced translators to join our international freelance network.
We value professionalism, precision, and confidentiality in every project. Our three-phase translation workflow — translation, editing, and proofreading — not only ensures the highest linguistic quality but also helps our translators continuously enhance their expertise in legal language and subject matter. Many of our current freelance translators have expressed appreciation for the professional growth and collaboration opportunities within our system.
We invite linguists with a strong sense of responsibility, a commitment to ethical standards, and a focus on client satisfaction to become part of our freelance legal translation team.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience (preferably in the legal field)
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation and Interpretation, Law, Linguistics, or a relevant technical discipline
• Excellent command of terminology and expressions used in legal or related domains
• Familiarity with CAT tools and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong research skills and attention to detail
• Self-disciplined, reliable, and able to meet deadlines under minimal supervision
• Excellent written communication skills and responsiveness
Work Process
Our standard translation workflow ensures consistency, transparency, and quality at every stage:
- Assignment: The project manager assigns the relevant document to a qualified translator and confirms the delivery deadline.
- Translation: The translator completes the initial translation with full attention to terminology and context.
- Editing: The text is then reviewed by a second linguist or editor specialized in the legal field.
- Proofreading: The translated file is returned to the original translator for final review and quality confirmation.
We respect the work-life balance of our freelance partners and never insist on accepting projects that do not fit their schedule. Reasonable delays or project interruptions are acceptable as long as they are communicated in advance.

Expectations from Freelance Translators
• Do not start any project without receiving a written confirmation from our project management team.
• Notify the team immediately in case of unexpected delays, technical issues, or inability to complete the task.
• Complete translations personally — we do not work with unverified translator groups.
• Maintain clear and timely communication throughout the project.
• Conduct necessary legal terminology research and ensure delivery by the agreed deadline.
• Perform a final self-check to verify terminology accuracy, consistency, and formatting before submission.
All other relevant details and project-specific instructions will be provided before each assignment.
